Two Saint Vincent Benedictines Ordained Deacons April 10

 Four seminarians attending Saint Vincent Seminary were ordained to the Diaconate by the Most Rev. J. Kevin Boland, Bishop of Savannah, Georgia on April 10 in the Archabbey Basilica. Two were Benedictines from Saint Vincent Archabbey.

Br. Lee Yoakam, O.S.B., is the son of Ted and Doloros Yoakam of Arma, Kansas. He has a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Old Dominion University, a bachelor of arts degree from Old Dominion and a master of science degree from Central Michigan University. He will receive the master of divinity degree from the Seminary in May.

Br. Edward Mazich, O.S.B., of Saint Vincent Archabbey, is the son of Alice (Connolley) Mazich of Danville and the late John Mazich. He is a 1990 graduate of Danville Area High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Penn State University in 1994, and a master of arts degree in theology from Saint Vincent Seminary in 1998, with highest honor.
