The Rt. Rev. Douglas R. Nowicki, O.S.B., Archabbot of Saint Vincent Archabbey, Latrobe, accepted the first vows of two novices during ceremonies held at Saint Vincent Basilica on Friday, July 10.

The postulants making their simple profession of vows were Brother Brian D. Boosel, a native of Butler and Brother Mark L. Floreanini, a native of Alliance, Ohio. They recently completed the novitiate at the Archabbey. The novitiate is a year of prayer and study designed to aid postulants in determining their vocation as Benedictine monks.
