Two Monks Profess Solemn Vows

Two monks of Saint Vincent Archabbey made solemn profession of monastic vows, or vows for life on July 11, 2013. They are Brother Isaac (Paul) Haywiser, O.S.B., of Bethel Park, and Brother Matthew (Clair) Lambert, O.S.B., of Port St. Lucie, Florida. For additional photos of the event, click here.

Brother Isaac is the son of Mark and Ellen Haywiser of Bethel Park. He is the brother of Peter Haywiser, Luke Haywiser, and Stephen Haywiser.

He is a 2005 graduate of Bethel Park High School, Bethel Park. He earned a bachelor of science degree in 2009 in management from Saint Vincent College.

He enter the novitiate of Saint Vincent Archabbey in 2009 and made simple professon of monastic vows on July 9, 2010. He made solemn profession of vows on July 11, 2013.

He served as an assistant in the summer retreat program from 2010-2012. In 2010 he was named assistant director, Archabbey guests and guest facilities. He also served as assistant to the manager, Gristmill General Store from 2010-2011 and in 2011 was appointed assistant to the director at the Saint Vincent College bookstore.

His home parish is Saint Valentine in Bethel Park.

Brother Matthew is the son of Walter Clair Lambert of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Nancy Roth of Kimberly, Idaho. His brother is Danny Lambert, Denver, Colorado.

He is a 2004 graduate of Coral Reef Senior High School, Miami, Forida. He earned a bachelor of science degree in English literature in 2008 from Florida State University.

He entered the novitiate of Saint Vincent Archabbey in 2009 and made simple professon of monastic vows on July 9, 2010, and solemn profession of vows on July 11, 2013.

While at Saint Vincent, he was named assistant building manager, monastery maintenance (2010-present) and counselor in the Academic Affairs Office, Saint Vincent College (2010-2011). He was appointed socius of novices in 2011.

Both Brother Isaac and Brother Matthew are seminarians at Saint Vincent Seminary.
