The 1999 Summer Retreat Schedule at Saint Vincent Archabbey has been announced by Brother Hugh Lester, O.S.B., Retreat Director.
There will be six retreats offered, starting May 21-23, with “Benedictine Spirituality.” It will be followed by a “Women’s Retreat” from May 28-30 and a retreat for married couples from June 4-6. Retreat Master for all three of those retreats will be Father Mark Gruber, O.S.B. An associate professor in the Department of Sociology/Anthropology at Saint Vincent College, Father Mark is the author of three books on spirituality. Donation for the spirituality and women’s retreats is $110, while the donation for married couples is $220 per couple.
Father Andrew Campbell, O.S.B., and Father John-Mary Tompkins, O.S.B., will co-conduct a “Charismatic Prayer” retreat from June 18-20. Father Andrew, who chairs the Communications Department at Saint Vincent College, has been a faculty member at Saint Vincent Seminary since 1987. Father John-Mary is currently parochial vicar at Saint Vincent Basilica Parish. Donation for this retreat is $110.
A four-day men’s retreat will be conducted from July 22-25. Retreat Master is Brother Elliott Maloney, O.S.B., professor of New Testament Studies at Saint Vincent Seminary. Donation is $135.
A men’s three-day retreat will be held July 30 to August 1, with Father Thomas P. Acklin, O.S.B., serving as Retreat Master. Father Thomas is Rector of Saint Vincent Seminary, and a professor in the Departments of Theology and Psychology at Saint Vincent Seminary and College. Donation is $110.
