Six Retreats Being Offered At Archabbey in 2004

 Saint Vincent Archabbey will again offer a series of six retreats this spring and summer for men, women, married couples and Benedictine Oblates.

The Retreat on Benedictine Spirituality for Oblates of Saint Benedict will be held from May 14-16. Entitled “Living in the Truth: Saint Benedict’s Teaching on Humility,” the retreat will be conducted by Father Nathan Munsch, O.S.B., who teaches monastic studies at Saint Vincent Seminary.

“Practical Wisdom for Daily Living,” a retreat for married couples, will be offered from May 21-23. Retreat master is Father Philip Kanfush, O.S.B., who teaches at Clelian Heights School for Exceptional Children.

Father Jacques Daley, O.S.B., who has made many presentations on St. Therese on the Eternal Word Television Network, will give the retreat for women June 4-6 “On Saint Catherine of Siena.”

“Ongoing Transfiguration,” a retreat of charismatic prayer, will be given by Father John-Mary Tompkins, O.S.B., parochial vicar at St. Gregory the Great Parish, Virginia Beach. It will be held June 11-13.

Father Wulfstan Clough, O.S.B., who teaches English at Saint Vincent College, will give the men’s three-day retreat, “The Spirituality of Matthew’s Gospel,” from June 25-27.

The men’s four-day retreat, from July 22-25, will be conducted by Father Justin Matro, O.S.B., vice rector of Saint Vincent Seminary. The topic is “Waiting Upon God.”
