Shannon Jordan has been named the new director of development for Saint Vincent Archabbey and Seminary, effective July 18. An experienced professional in development, he began his experience at the national level, starting his career at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in 2001. In 2006, he worked as the Director of Development for the Diocese of Trenton.
In 2011, Jordan was hired in the Office for Stewardship and Development in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. At the archdiocese he lead an effort to revitalize and reorganize not only the major advancement functions but he also lead strategic efforts to realign organizations to maximize impact and sustainability.
In his latest role, he helped envision, launch, and lead, as executive director, The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia. At the heart of the Foundation is the ability for the laity to dream and envision new ways to support the Church while also supporting the rich legacy of programs and services they have inherited.
Shannon Jordan and his wife Kate have four children: Clare, Liam, Lila, and Cullen.
He succeeds Father Bonaventure Curtis, O.S.B., who will begin fulltime teaching in the Alex G. McKenna School of Business, Economics and Government at Saint Vincent College.
