Fr. Francis Jin, O.S.B., to speak at Saint Vincent on “Prayer and Work (ora et labora)” on May 17
A series of monthly presentations on Benedictine spirituality will continue on Sunday, May 17, from 3:00 P.M. to 4:15 P.M. in seminary classroom Brownfield 202 at Saint Vincent. The topic will be “Ora et labora” (the Benedictine motto “pray and work”), and Fr. Francis Jin, O.S.B., Director of Vocations for St. Vincent Archabbey and teacher of moral theology at St. Vincent Seminary, will be the presenter. To appreciate the presentation one does not need to have attended previous sessions, and all are welcome. Attendees may also attend Vespers at 5:00 P.M. in the Archabbey Basilica.
Also, local Oblates of Saint Benedict affiliated with Saint Vincent Archabbey and anyone else who may be interested will meet at 6:40 P.M. on May 17 in Brownfield Room 202 of Saint Vincent Seminary. The agenda will consist of the fourth of a series of discussions from the book Holy Silence: A Practical Guide to Recollection in God by Fr. Basil Nortz, O.R.C.
