Dennis A. Garman of Latrobe has been appointed as manager of the Saint Vincent Cemetery and Mausoleum Chapel. An employee in the Facilities Management Office at Saint Vincent for the past seven years, his new duties will involve managing, supervising and coordinating the operations and administration of the cemetery’s services.
Garman spent twenty years in the U.S. Army where he attained the rank of Sergeant First Class before retiring in 1998. During his service, he was responsible for leading and training soldiers, community relations, and working with recruiters. He was also responsible for the accountability and serviceability of military equipment valued at over $3 million.
He has studied at Fayetteville Technical Institute, Central Texas College, the University of Maryland, and the American Council of Education.
Garman has been previously employed by Wal-Mart, Adelphoi Village as a childcare counselor, and at Ford of Greensburg.
He and his wife, Myong, have three children, Christopher, Rachael, and Brittany.
