Saturday, January 28, 2023 marks the 60th anniversary of the Day of Fire and Ice at Saint Vincent, the fire that destroyed many of the buildings on campus and that came very close to the Basilica.
The pages from the archives of Saint Vincent Magazine feature Saint Vincent historian Dr. Jerome Oetgen’s spellbinding account of that day. The feature was originally created in remembrance of the 50th anniversary of the fire in 2013.
