The winter issue of Saint Vincent Monks Magazine features news from São Bento Priory in Brazil, where a monk professed solemn vows. It featured the work of Father Job Foote, O.S.B., who has been traveling to Honduras to support the efforts of NPH Honduras, which helps orphaned and abandoned children, and much more. There is an update on the work of our monks in Savannah at Benedictine Military School, including some history about how our Benedictines came to serve there, and some notes on the work of Father Paschal Morlino, O.S.B., in Baltimore. Two young monks give an accounting of the Footsteps of Saint Benedict pilgrimage to Rome, which occurs between Christmas and New Year’s and is a vocations trip for men interested in pursuing the monastic life. Brother Gregory Visca was ordained a deacon this fall. The Pittsburgh Steelers returned to Saint Vincent this summer. Dr. Ralph Martin will speak in June. Monk-artists Father Vincent Crosby, O.S.B., and Brother Mark Floreanini, O.S.B., give updates on their work. More baking, more Masses, and even stories about some video projects are included.
