The winter 2022 edition of Saint Vincent Monks features the story of Saint Vincent de Paul, the patron of Saint Vincent, in honor of the new statue created for the Archabbey Basilica. Father Brian Boosel details his research in France, uncovering the story of this saint and, after being captured and sold into slavery, his eventual path to working with the poor upon  his release. Photos of the arrival and installation of the new statue are also included. Father Philip Kanfush was honored with the Projektenmacher Award at the fall honors convocation, where Abbot Wolfgang Hagl of Metten Abbey in Bavaria spoke and received an honorary degree. A Gristmill feature done for the Old Mill News is included, along with photos of Miller Brother Anselm Zhang. A story of the status of Saint Vincent Lake, commemoration of the passing of Father Augustine Flood, and other abbey news are also included.
