Rabbi Abraham Skorka, Cardinal Donald Wuerl and a number of other rabbis and academians from both Catholic and Jewish faiths participated in a Catholic-Jewish Dialogue at Saint Vincent in the fall of 2016. Coverage of the event is included in this edition of Heart to Heart. Along with news of monks, upcoming ordinations, the issue contains features on a National Catholic Art Show at Saint Vincent, and an inaugural Blue Mass which honored firefighters, EMS and police officers. The Bearcat BEST program, directed by Father Philip Kanfush, O.S.B., received recognition from the National Association of College Stores. The presentation of an autographed Pittsburgh Steelers football from Archabbot Douglas Nowicki, O.S.B., and the Pittsburgh Steelers to Pope Francis received national attention, including a mention on late night television from Jimmy Fallon.
