Prince Ludwig of Bavaria joined the Saint Vincent Community and Abbot Primate Notker Wolf for the year-ending celebrations of the 200th birth of Saint Vincent Founder Boniface Wimmer. The winter 2010 issue of Heart to Heart also documented the Benedictine Heritage Tour trip to Germany made by pilgrims from Saint Vincent, and the pilgrimage made from Boniface Wimmer’s hometown to Saint Vincent in the summer of 2009. Celebrant for the festive Mass was Cardinal Justin Rigali. Father Benoit Alloggia, O.S.B., was ordained to the priesthood in Rome. Father David Ho, O.S.B., was ordained to the priesthood in Taiwan. The Crypt renovations were begun, and solemn and simple vows professed. The announcement of Brother Norman Hipps, O.S.B., as the new president of Saint Vincent College is also in this issue, as well as some photos from the Pittsburgh Steeler summer training camp.
