Latrobe Native To Give Blue Mass Address At Saint Vincent November 5

A 2014 Saint Vincent College alumnus and Latrobe native who is now a Pennsylvania state trooper will give the Blue Mass address at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, November 5 at Saint Vincent Archabbey Basilica. Marie Elizabeth Baltimore, daughter of Jeffrey J. and Sandra L. Regula, she has been a trooper for eight and a half years, graduating from the Pennsylvania State Police Academy in 2015.

The Blue Mass honors local and state police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical service personnel, who are invited to attend in uniform. All those serving in such capacities are invited to attend the Mass in uniform. The Mass will be concelebrated by Father Richard Ulam, O.S.B., pastor of the Basilica Parish, and Father Joseph Adams, O.S.B., a monk of Saint Vincent Archabbey, presently subprior of the monastic community.

Trooper Baltimore began her career with the state police as a member of Troop A, based in Somerset County. In 2019 she transferred to the Executive Services Office, where she serves today, specializing in dignitary protection.

As a child, Trooper Baltimore attended the Westmoreland County Camp Cadet, which affirmed her goal of working in law enforcement. She was also influenced by her father, a retired Latrobe Police Department sergeant.

She is a 2010 graduate of Greater Latrobe Senior High School, and was a member of Holy Family Parish growing up. She studied criminology, law and society at Saint Vincent, where she played field hockey and was a member of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity. In high school she played lacrosse and took part in gymnastics.

In her free time, she enjoys volunteering for various animal rescue groups and assists with transporting unwanted shelter animals from the southern United States. She and her husband Jeffrey A. Baltimore II live in Harrisburg with their newborn daughter, Blake Elizabeth.
