Fr. José Rosa, O.S.B., to speak at Saint Vincent on “Stability in Benedictine Spirituality” on September 20

A series of monthly presentations on Benedictine spirituality will continue on Sunday, September 20, from 3:00 P.M. to 4:15 P.M. in seminary classroom Brownfield 202 at Saint Vincent. The topic will be “Stability in Benedictine Spirituality,” and Fr. José Rosa, O.S.B., a newly ordained priest stationed in a parish in the Diocese of Pittsburgh, will be the presenter. To appreciate the presentation one does not need to have attended previous sessions, and all are welcome. Attendees may also attend Vespers at 5:00 P.M. in St. Gregory Chapel.

Also, local Oblates of Saint Benedict affiliated with Saint Vincent Archabbey and anyone else who may be interested will meet at 6:40 P.M. on September 20  in Brownfield Room 202 of Saint Vincent Seminary. The agenda will consist of the eighth of a series of discussions from the book Holy Silence: A Practical Guide to Recollection in God by Fr. Basil Nortz, O.R.C. (Extra books are available for borrowing or purchase.) Furthermore, supper at 5:35 in a guest dining room will be available. If you plan to attend supper, please phone Fr. Also, Oblates and their guests are welcome to attend the annual Oblate Day at the Archabbey on Sunday, September 27, beginning with Mass at 10:30 A.M.  Bishop Larry Kulick will offer a presentation at 3:45 entitled, Ora et Labora – and Caritas: Charity in the Model of Saint Vincent de Paul.
