Four New Novices at Saint Vincent

Four men joined the monastic community as novices on July1 for the coming year.

SEAN COOKSEY, N.O.S.B.

Brother Sean Cooksey is the son of Dr. Stephen Cooksey of Pittsburgh and Mary Frances Reidell of Pittsburgh. He has two brothers, Patrick of Colorado Springs and Daniel, of Seattle, and a sister, Erin Leet of Pittsburgh. He is a 2006 graduate of Serra Catholic High School. He has studied at the Community College of Allegheny County and Wheeling Jesuit University, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in history in 2011.

ANGELO LICHTENSTEIN, N.O.S.B.

Brother Angelo (Kurt) Lichtenstein is the son of Gary Lichtenstein and Maria Alampi of Sandyston, New Jersey. His sister is Emily Lichtenstein of Newton, New Jersey. He is a 2008 graduate of Kittatinny Regional High School in Newton. He earned a bachelor of science degree in physics from The Citadel in 2012.

XAVIER O’MARA, N.O.S.B.

Brother Xavier (Timothy) O’Mara is the son of Barbara Helen O’Mara of Northborough, Massachusetts and the late John Cornelius O’Mara. His brothers are John O’Mara of Zurich, Switzerland and Michael O’Mara of Boston. He is a 2004 graduate of Saint John’s High School, and earned a bachelor of arts degree in history from Saint Vincent College in 2008.

SEBASTIAN VISCA, N.O.S.B.

Brother Sebastian (Gregory) Visca is the son of Michael and Victoria Visca of Valrico, Florida. He has a sister, Brittany McMeans of Spring Hill, Tennessee. He is a 2007 graduate of Bloomingdale High School. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy from Saint John Vianney College Seminary in 2011 and has also studied theology at Saint Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary.
