Brother Aidan (Timothy) Sheridan, O.S.B., professed solemn vows, or vows for life, on July 11, 2026 before Archabbot Martin de Porres Bartel, O.S.B.
A native of Lakewood, Ohio, he is the son of the late Eugene F. and Pauline F. Sheridan. Brother Aidan is a 1982 graduate of Northwestern High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Notre Dame College of South Euclid, Ohio, in 2009, while also earning a bachelor’s degree in philosophy the same year from Borromeo Seminary, the college seminary in the Diocese of Cleveland. The seminary is affiliated with John Carroll University. Many Borromeo alumni matriculated to Saint Mary Seminary, the graduate school of theology in Cleveland, including Brother Aidan, who studied there following his graduation.
Brother Aidan entered the monastic community of Saint Vincent Archabbey as a novice on July 10, 2021, and made his simple profession of vows on July 10, 2022. He has studied music at Saint Vincent College and has also taken graduate courses at Saint Vincent Seminary.
He has been assigned as assistant to the director of Oblates for Saint Vincent Archabbey (2022-present), and in 2025 was given the additional role of assistant to the director of the monastery infirmary.
His hobbies include swimming, hiking, gardening and camping.
