Congratulations Abbot Gregory! On Saturday, September 10, the Congress of Abbots elected Father Gregory Polan O.S.B., abbot of Conception Abbey, Missouri, to become the tenth abbot primate of the Benedictine Confederation. His acceptance of the election resulted in the beginning of his eight-year term as abbot primate. He had professed vows as a monk of Conception Abbey, August 28, 1971; the monks elected him ninth abbot of Conception, November 6, 1996. Read More

Two novices entered the Saint Vincent monastic community on July 1, Brother Sean Austin of Hagerstown, Maryland, and Douglas Sellers of Penn Hills. Austin will take the monastic name of Brother Robert, while Sellers will take the name Brother Placid.
