The Rev. Frank Ziemkiewicz, O.S.B., pastor of St. Mary's Parish in St. Marys, Pennsylvania, has been named president of the Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Georgia, effective July 15, according to an announcement by the Rt. Rev. Douglas R. Nowicki, O.S.B., Archabbot of Saint Vincent Archabbey, which sponsors the school. He will succeed the Rev. Jude Brady, who has served as president since 1999. Read More

When Father Thomas More Sikora, O.S.B., came to Saint Vincent Archabbey in 1988, one of the things he learned during his novitiate year was how to weave. Little did he know that weaving would play a role in the fabic of his monastic life. Now doing custom hand weaving from his Gristmill-based Artisans' Workshop, Father Thomas More produces work on consignment, has exhibited his work, and worked with college students interested in learning the skill. Way of the Cross Performances Planned

 Way of the Cross Performances Planned Tuesday, January 22, 2008
 Saint Vincent Archabbey and Seminary are sponsoring presentations of The Way of the Cross, a dramatic and musical presentation of the Stations of the Cross, March 6-9, 2008. Written by Brother Elijah Cirigliano, O.S.B., the show was performed 19 times in New York and Connecticut, before making its Pennsylvania debut in February 2007. The performance will be directed by Joe Reilly, director of the professional summer theater at St. Vincent College, with musical direction by Tom Octave. Read More

Archabbey Vocation Office Hosting AdoreTour

 Saint Vincent Archabbey Vocations Office will host the Adore 2097 Tour, an evening of praise, worship, and adoration by Catholic musicians April 13 in the Saint Vincent College Carey Center Gymnasium. A special Traveler’s Mass will be held in the Mary Mother of Wisdom Student Chapel at 2 p.m. before the event. The event will begin at 3 p.m. in the gymnasium. Advance tickets are $10.
