Priest Retreat: The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament @ Retreat House Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament
Dec 31 2018 – Jan 4 2019 all-day

Retreat Description: Following the busy Advent season and Christmas Octave, take a few days on retreat together with brother priests. Father Boniface Hicks, O.S.B., the director of spiritual formation at Saint Vincent Seminary, will provide a conference each day and also be available for spiritual direction and Confession. He can meet with up to 8 priests each day for a personal, directed retreat (if that is your preference, please indicate that when you register). The retreat begins December 31 and ends January 4, but feel free to come a day early or stay a day later to get a full 5 days.

Retreat Master: Father Boniface Hicks O.S.B., has a master of arts and master of divinity degree from Saint  Vincent Seminary, as well as a Ph.D. in computer science from Pennsylvania State University. He co-authored, along with Father Thomas Acklin, O.S.B., the book Spiritual Direction: A Guide for Sharing the Father’s Love, and has been involved with WAOB (We Are One Body) radio station, serving as its program director, and is also director of spiritual formation for Saint Vincent Seminary.

Hospitality: Responding to God’s Generous Welcome to Us

Retreat Description: From a Christian, Benedictine perspective hospitality involves far more than providing comfort for guests.  This retreat will reflect on ways in which God welcomes us, ways in which we are summoned to welcome Him, and ways in which we can make room for others and thus have our hearts expanded in the love of Christ.

Retreat Master: Father Donald Raila, O.S.B., is director of the Saint Vincent Archabbey Oblate Program. He is the author of two books: Lessons from Benedict: Finding Joy in Daily Life, The Study Guide to Lessons from Saint Benedict: Finding Joy in Daily Life; and the editor of The Rule in Bits and Pieces, a collection of over 140 reflections covering every chapter of the Holy Rule of Saint Benedict.

Check-in: 3 to 5:30 p.m., Leander Hall. Retreat ends at 1 p.m. Sunday.
